Three looks in ten frames. Tanya Xmyra, a Russian photographer now based in Belgrade, photographs her model, Eva, at a tropical villa with bamboo fencing, timber posts, shuttered windows, palm fronds crowding in from every angle. The series moves between film and digital, black-and-white and warm color, and the grain is heavy throughout. Eva's naturally curly blonde hair shifts from loose and waist-length to loosely pinned between setups. The whole thing has the pace of an afternoon with nowhere to be.
The opening images pair a white halter top tied bare at the back with black trousers: the sharpest look in the set, graphic and clean against the weathered wood. The middle section strips back to white cotton lingerie with ruffled hems, Eva framed inside a wooden window and backlit. The last act wraps her in a dark robe that swallows her shape entirely and shifts the mood from exposed to private.
