Markus Wachter is a Munich-based fashion photographer who works primarily on film, shooting 35mm and medium format for publications including Contributor Magazine, Schön and Vogue Italia. This is not his first collaboration with Marie Christin Behnisch but the setting here is unique. Old stone walls, a heavy studded wooden door, warm golden light: the architecture reads Mediterranean and the color palette follows it, running warm and amber through every frame.
The styling is deliberately simple. One look throughout: a white lace bralette under a sheer tie-front kimono, bare feet, no accessories beyond small stud earrings. Wachter alternates between tight portraits and wider seated compositions. The close-ups catch the late light across Behnisch's skin and hair, the light grain matching the texture of the stone behind her. The wider frames are quieter, letting the architecture and the garment do the talking while Behnisch holds a steady, unhurried gaze.
